The innumerable benefits of breastfeeding and the positive impact of continued support for mothers with accurate and evidence-based information are known. Health professionals have a fundamental role and implicit responsibility when they address neona- tal and maternal and child care. Many of them have insufficient knowledge and need to acquire attitudes and skills to be able to carry out this support. More and more mothers are breastfeeding and require sus- tained support to achieve successful breastfeeding. This article will address the issue of nursing leadership to provide quality care, manage prevention and treat- ment programs, as well as health care within organiza- tions, hospitals, communities, schools or companies.en_US
